Bio

​

Born in Bucharest and with an academic background in Political Sciences/Sociology and Communication, Georgiana is currently involved with Teach for Romania, an organization aiming at changing education through leadership. Too many children do not have access to good education, and therefore to their chances of really becoming their best selves. That is why education means more than teaching. Georgiana is lead by the strong belief that it takes leadership, hard work and courage to assume responsibility over changes that need to be made. And this is what she am committed to contribute to.

Throughout her career, Georgiana was responsible for the management of different educational projects within various NGOs, ensuring the successful implementation of the development strategies and projects delivery. She coordinated and implemented multiple large projects covering various educational or social topics, being actively involved in social inclusion projects and research in education. Her career was shaped by experiences she also had as a volunteer, starting with the university years.

She believes real change in a society can be created and nurtured via leadership and education. Therefore, she constantly supports change by working with those who have the potential to create further change: children, due to their growth mindset, their fresh vision on society, that makes them more willing to cooperate and work better in teams, assuming responsibility for making their vision a reality. She believes in teamwork and collective effort for consistent change.
